How it all started

« Hello and welcome to this website! My name is Stéphanie Frassanito and I am the founder of Work Overseas placement agency. I love travelling and learning foreign languages. I have often been balancing between my passion for travels and a fear of the unknown. I still remember my first interview for an internship in London. I was terrified by the idea of going alone to England to get my first internship abroad, in English (I am French)! So, I totally understand how you might feel about going abroad on your own. That’s why in 2013, after a Master II degree in Business & Marketing, and several years working for an au pair agency, I decided to create my own placement agency, called “Work Overseas”. My goal? Allowing you to fulfill your dream of living abroad, easily and without any fear. I am convinced that travelling and living abroad is the best way to become bilingual, to discover a culture from the inside, and to (re)discover ourselves.

Today, Work Overseas agency is a team of people passionate about travels and a network of more than 80 agents, hundreds of companies and host families around the world. International Placement agency by passion

Work Overseas is an international work & travel placement agency and a team of people passionate about travels and foreign languages. Our main office is based in Nice, in the South of France.

We help candidates from all over the world to organise their stay abroad. We also help host families to recruit the best possible au pair, as well as companies to recruit international candidates. Wherever you are based in the world, please do not hesitate to contact us. We’ll be happy to help you.

To organise your stays all over the world, we have been using remote working methods for many years. We will therefore schedule several video calls to discuss your needs and look for the perfect placement for you.

In order to facilitate the follow-up of your project and to get to know you better, only one or two agents will be dedicated to your placement. So that way you will get a personalised service.

Thanks to our network of more than 80 agents worldwide, companies, host families and approved partners, we will be able to organise the placement of your choice abroad: job or internship abroad, au pair or language stay.

ABOUT WORK OVERSEASS

A bit of history

The story of Work Overseas began in 2007 when Stephanie Frassanito, the future founder of the agency, started her first professional experience in an au pair agency. This experience led her to work in the organisation of stays abroad, and then to launch Work Overseas Agency in 2013, opening a first office in London.

From there, the first companies were recruited, for the organisation of internships in London.

In 2014, Work Overseas expanded with the creation of its first office in France, from where candidates were recruited and placed in London for internships. During the first years of its existence, our agency was mainly focused on the organisation of internships in London for French students.

In 2017, Work Overseas started to develop new programs abroad and to offer new opportunities and countries available to work or make an internship abroad. We now also offer au pair programs and language stays.

In 2020, we decided to make a break due to the Covid-19 pandemic that was affecting the whole world.

In 2023, we are coming back with new programs, such as internships in Malta or in Ireland. We want to keep offering you new destinations and options to travel and live abroad.

Follow me on my travels

For the past few years, I have been fortunate enough to travel thanks to you and through your travels. In order to always provide you with the best possible service, I regularly travel abroad to meet new partners at international conferences. I also visit a part of the companies, language schools, and housing managers we work with. Furthermore, each school we offer on our website has been visited after a rigorous selection process.

This year, after Malta and Ireland, we are working on launching new work & travel programs abroad.
