Program conditions:
As an au pair in Ireland, you will be/get:
- Full board and lodging.
- Clean single room.
- Pocket money: minimum 80 € per week.
- Be responsible for taking care of children (+ light domestic tasks) from 30 to 45 hours per week.
- Off-duty 1 to 2 days a week.
- On vacation for 1 week after 6 months of stay.
- Free time to take English classes.
Your typical day as an au pair
- 6:00 am: Wake-up.
- 7:00 am: Prepare the children for school.
- 7:30 am: Departure for school.
- 9:00 am: English classes and coffee with new friends.
- 12:00 pm: Lunch time in town.
- 3:00 pm: Pick children up from school.
- 3:30 pm: It’s time to clean up the morning dishes, take care of the kids until the parents come back (bath, homework, games…).
- 8:00 pm: Family dinner and free evening.
When and Where to start your stay?
You can start your au pair placement in Ireland at any time of the year and stay until the end of the school year. Our host families in Ireland are located all over Ireland (South), including Cork, Dublin, Galway, Tralee, Wexford…

Who can be au pair in Ireland?
You can become an au pair in Ireland if you are/have:
- 21 to 28 years old.
- EU citizen.
- Minimum intermediate English.
- Minimum 50 hours experience.
- 2 childcare experience (out of your own family).
- Driving license and experience preferred.
- Availability for the whole school year.
- Flexible, patient and able to adapt easily to a new culture.

Program fees
- Online registration below:
- Program fees to be paid in 3 steps:
- Deposit of €150 before the interview, refunded in case your application will not be accepted (excluding €75 administrative fee).
- 50% of the remaining fees charged when starting the search and balanced at placement confirmation stage (please see guidelines below).
- REFUND YOUR PROGRAM AFTER THE FIRST MONTH (get full board and lodging and at least 320 € per month).
- Our programs abroad are 100% guaranteed. We only accept candidates we can place.
- Please note that additional fees will be charged for last minute registration (see conditions below).
Global budget
Here some information about additional budged needed to be au pair in Ireland:
- Flight: From 300 to 1500 € on average depending on your departure.
- Insurance: from 50 € per month.
- English classes: prices depend on schools.
