What is the profile of our au pairs?

  • Average age between 18 and 28 years old.
  • Experienced in childcare (outside of their own family).
  • Trained on the course of an au pair placement.
  • Minimum intermediate French and/or good level of English.
  • Bilingual in another language (English, Spanish, Italian…).
  • Interest in children and discovering a new culture.
  • Flexible personality and open-mindedness.
  • Available for 3 to 12 months.

Au pair placement conditions

Here an idea of budget (+ agency fees) families willing to have an au pair should consider:

  • Free board and lodging for your aupair.
  • Pocket money: €80 per week for 25 hours per week.
  • Each additional hour will be paid a minimum of €8.
  • Depending on your country you may have to pay taxes (ex: around 230 € per month in France).
  • Insurance for your au pair (approx. €45 per month).
  • Visa, flight, and language classes will be paid by your au pair.

A typical day for an au pair

  • 7:00 am: Wake up the children.
  • 7:15 am: Breakfast and dressing the children.
  • 8:00 am: Let’s go to school.
  • 8:30 am: Children dropped off at school.
  • 9:00 am: Back home, cleaning up the kitchen, living room, and children’s bedroom.
  • 10:30 am: Let’s go to language courses.
  • 1:00 pm: End of lessons.
  • 1:15 pm: Lunch with classmates.
  • 4:30 pm: Pick up children from school.
  • 5:00 pm: Walk to the park and snack.
  • 6:00 pm: Return home and homework.
  • 6:30 pm: Showers and pajamas, playing with the children.

When can I have an au pair?

You can host an au pair at any time for 4 to 12 months. Most host families begin their search a few months in advance. Each summer, we also have some au pair candidates available for 2 to 3 months.

 

How much does it cost ?

Agency fees

  • Free online pre-registration below. We will contact you to discuss the situation and send you the complete file to host an au pair.
  • Registration fee: 75 €.
  • Placement 1 to 3 months: 395 €.
  • Placement 3 to 6 months: 545 €.
  • Placement 6 to 12 months: 745 €.
  • Driver’s supplement: €80
  • Supplement for a native English-speaking au pair: 150 € from 1 to 3 months, 225 € from 3 to 6 months and 375 € from 6 to 12 months.
  • We’ll check the possibilities of placing an au pair with your families.
  • Registration fees to be paid before the start of the search.
  • 30 % to of placement fees due when organizing the first interview.
  • Balance to be paid upon your placement confirmation.

Additional costs

  • Provide free board and lodging to your au pair.
  • Minimum 80 € if weekly pocket money.
  • 8 € per additional hour.
  • Taxes may apply (approx. 230 € per month in France).
  • Au pair insurance (approx. 45 € per month).
